Go Try Nature (“we”) runs the website at gotrynature.com. This page explains what information we collect and what we do with it. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
Newsletter subscribers. If you sign up for The Trailhead, we store your email address, the date you subscribed, the page you subscribed from, and your IP address at signup (for spam prevention). We use double opt-in, meaning nothing is stored as active until you click the confirmation link we email you.
Server logs. Like every website, our host records basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). We use this only to keep the site running and to see which posts people read.
Nothing else. We don’t run advertising trackers, we don’t use social media pixels, and we don’t sell or rent any data to anyone.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores one preference in your browser: whether you picked light or dark mode. That’s it. No tracking cookies.
Third parties
- Amazon. When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site and Amazon’s privacy policy applies. Amazon may set cookies to attribute a purchase to our affiliate ID.
- Images and fonts. Some images load from Unsplash and fonts from Google Fonts. Those services see your IP address when your browser requests the file.
- YouTube. If a post embeds a video, YouTube’s privacy policy applies to that embed.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Your address is marked unsubscribed immediately and purged within 30 days.
- Ask us to delete everything we have about you by emailing hello@gotrynature.com. We’ll do it within a week and confirm.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll note it here and, for subscribers, mention it in the newsletter.
